DESCRIPTION:Honey’s Helping Hands Corporation is a non profit organization serving Uniontown and surrounding areas. They provide staple items\, such as food boxes\, for families needing assistance.\n\nOn August 21\, 2022 from 2:00-6:00 pm. they will have a Community and Health Fair at 297 Main and Grant Street (across from Lantz Funeral Home). Those who attend will enjoy free popcorn\, snow cones\, homemade granola bars\, school and cleaning supplies. The Bruderhof Community will be offering free vegetables.\n\nThere will be many human service agencies providing education on health and safety as well as community resources. Some of the agencies who will be there are:\n\n\nHighmark Health\n\n\nBruderhof Community\n\n\nUniontown Police\n\n\nFayette County Advocates\n\n\nGenesis House\n\n\nUniontown Fire Dept.\n\n\nAdagio Health\n\n\nChildren & Youth Services\n\n\nWestern Pa Behavioral Health Resources\n\n\nAttendees will experience gospel music and have the opportunity to visit the Prayer Tent. DESCRIPTION:What Is Partners For Recovery?\n\n\n\nPartners is a community support program to help improve services\, systems of care\, and supports for those being treated for substance use and mental health issues. Meetings are open to anyone with an interest in mental health issues and advancing the quality of life for members and people with mental health. \nSome points about PARTNERS FOR RECOVERY: \n\nAt Partners for Recovery Meetings\, you can have fellowship with others in a place where everyone can share their stories and experiences in recovery.\nAs a member of this group\, you can have a voice in how money for mental health services is spent and how services can serve people better.\nYou can help the group make a difference in the community and alleviate the stigma of mental illness in society.\nWe welcome visitors who would like to take part in meetings and help us see more clearly what is working and what is not working in the local Mental Health Community.\n\nWe believe that “By promoting the principles of recovery and making relationships in the community\, the Fayette County Partners for Recovery is educating and providing public awareness of mental health”. \nPartners for Recovery meet the fourth Monday of every month from 10:30 AM until around noon. Meetings are held at MHA Fayette located at the Fayette County Health Center at 100 New Salem Road in Uniontown\, Pennsylvania.
